Super Bowl 47

The 2012-2013 NFL season comes to an end on Sunday with Super Bowl 47. I’m already looking forward to the start of the next season. Last week I went 1-1 with my picks in the Conference Championship and I’m now 7-3 in the playoffs. I went 164-91-1 during the season.

It’s remarkable that we will be watching brothers coach against each other in the Super Bowl. The odds that we would ever see brothers coach against each other in the Super Bowl is borderline impossible. We’ve had Peyton and Eli Manning both in the league for years and neither have played each other in the Super Bowl.

It’s been 8 (EIGHT) years since we’ve had a Super Bowl that didn’t feature either a Manning brother or Ben Roethlisberger and 10 years if you include Tom Brady. This weekend we’ll see Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick.

Much has been said throughout the playoffs that this is the last few games for Ray Lewis. The first career sack for Ray Lewis came against current San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh.

This Super Bowl, as usual, will be a great game.

Baltimore Ravens - 27

San Francisco 49ers - 23

Super Bowl MVP: Ed Reed

The 49ers have the talent, the coach, and the quarterback to take them to many more Super Bowls but they won’t be able to overcome the Ravens to win Super Bowl 47.

5 Bonus Predictions:

  • Gatorade dumped on the winning coach will be yellow.
  • There will be 3 interceptions in the game.
  • Randy Moss will have 100+ receiving yards.
  • Ray Rice will have less than 60 rushing yards.
  • The game is tied at halftime.
  • The Ravens win the coin toss.
  • The word “brother(s)” will be said 43 times during the game.
